Abstract: »This study examines Genesis 19:8 in the context of trauma theology, highlighting the relationship between sexual abuse and sexual deviance as an inherited impact of sin. Lot offered his daughters to his attackers, reflecting the breakdown of family values ​​and protection. This action is analyzed as a form of compromise to holiness, which opens up space for the ongoing cycle of trauma and deviance. Through the approach of biblical exposition and pastoral psychology, this article argues that the wounds caused by sexual sin not only affect individuals, but also create a legacy of wounds between generations. The results of this study are expected to enrich the church's understanding of the importance of healing from trauma and the need for compassionate shepherding. This study uses a hermeneutic approach to examine the historical, cultural, and theological contexts in Genesis 19.« (Source: Formosa Journal of Applied Sciences)
